about

"Audiometria - Somewhere"
. 'Audiomultiplo' starts with slowly evolving ambient sounds, quite relaxed. Then there is a sequence and piano that is quite nice. The piano disappears followed by the sequence and we are back to the ambient intro. At just under 8 minutes a new rhythm and sequence gradually build, and effects are added to a hypnotic mix with added oomph! This piece is pulling me into a mesmerising journey that is in full flow berlin-school heaven. The effects are powerful that have high points like giant drums that assault your ears with adrenalin! At about 16 minutes it all drifts back into atmospherics. At over 20 minutes long this is a gorgeous flow from ambience to berlin school and back. Wonderful! 'Midsound' starts with a synth-drone and what sounds like NASA radio communications. There are effects and a rhythm is added gradually picking up pace and sequencing adds to the steadily evolving sounds, and flute is added to the mid-paced rhythmic music. At about 7 minutes it briefly drifts back into ambience and then a fast paced stonker of a sequence builds louder and I feel like I am hurtling along at high speed! A flute reappears and the sequencing is absolutely fantastic. Wow! This is improvised electronic music at it's best! It all fades away at the end back into atmospherics. It is worth buying the album for this track alone, but we are not finished yet! 'Somewhere' is the title track and opens with low resonating/vibrating like sounds and swooshes, and an organ playing briefly reminds me of TD in their early days. A pitch-bending keyboard line plays along as if Rick Wakeman is guesting. I love this. A slow beat and sequencing is added and it develops at a good pace. The sequencing and effects become all the more hypnotic and powerful! Actually reminds me of 'Redshift' in full flow, it's as good as that! It finally subsides into atmos. You cannot fault this wonderful music! 'Sonar' has strange sounds and 'whistles' and dark and creepy noises. It feels like I'm in a jungle at night being watched by weird creatures.. Piano is added that soothes and relaxes me into peace and tranquillity, this is emotional playing. Very nice reflective music. Beautiful track! 'Stereolocus' has synth noises, a slow rhythm and weird sounds, then piano is introduced and a rhythm evolves, and effects come and go. A strange but interesting piece, and an interesting and curious way to end such a fantastic album. Well done Miguel and Javi!
